Market value ” VM “
Market value is defined as the opinion, expressed in terms of
money, at which the asset under consideration would be exchanged. It is assumed that at the time of this
exchange, both the seller and the buyer have sufficient
knowledge of the asset and the market, and that neither is acting under
duress or pressure, at a specific date.
Installed Market Value “IMV”
Installed Market Value is defined as the opinion, expressed in
terms of money, at which the asset under consideration would be exchanged. It is assumed that at
time of this exchange, both the seller and the buyer possess sufficient
knowledge of the asset and the market, and that neither is acting under
duress or pressure, regardless of the profits generated by
the business in which the assets are or will be installed at a specific date.
Orderly Liquidation Value “OLV”
Orderly Liquidation Value is defined as an opinion, expressed in
terms of money, at which the asset(s) under consideration would be exchanged in a
liquidation framework, from a properly advertised transaction, allowing
a reasonable period of time to find potential buyers, with the seller
being obliged to sell in the same condition and at the same physical location, on a specific
date.
In-Place Liquidation Value ” VLP “
In-place liquidation value is defined as an opinion of the gross
value, expressed in terms of money, on the assets under consideration that would be exchanged
in a liquidation for an inoperative plant with its equipment
in a single lot; from a properly publicized transaction, allowing a
reasonable period of time to find potential buyers, assuming a
seller is obliged to sell in the same condition and at the same physical location, at
a specific date
Forced liquidation value
Forced liquidation value is defined as an opinion expressed in
terms of money, at which the asset under consideration would be exchanged in a properly publicized
auction, the seller would be obliged to sell
with a sense of urgency. The asset is offered piece by piece, in the same condition and
in the same physical location as at the time of inspection.
